Project:

To create a crucifix that is representative of many of the cultures Jesus Christ died for.

Outline:

God willing, this crucifix will be made up of many small canvasses. The head, feet and hands will be those of a crucified Christ, the remaining sections of the crucifix will be comprised of multiple portraits of inidivduals from diverse beliefs. The individuals for whom Christ died. The image of Christ's face will be distinctly Jewish, yet I may incorporate distinctive characteristics of many cultures in His hands, and His feet as I symbolically express the fact that He died for all people, the world over.

Audience:

I pray that those who do not believe in Jesus will be encouraged to see themselves in the cross of Jesus Christ.

I pray that those who believe in Jesus will be stirred to recognize that differences should not seperate us from connecting and caring about all people of the earth, no matter what they believe.
